Chelsea Clinton is reportedly seeking an ambassadorship to either the United Kingdom or France should Kamala Harris win the presidency.
Multiple sources spoke to the New York Post about the matter, suggesting the Clinton family has been working on this scheme for quite some time.
“Chelsea really wants to be the ambassador to the UK,” one source revealed. “There’s a reason why Bill and Hillary came out in the first five minutes to support Kamala’s presidential bid — they were currying favor.”
The same source said Chelsea would be open to serving as ambassador to France, while a separate individual indicated she’d be open to working in other countries.
“I’ve heard for a long time that Chelsea has been hopeful for an ambassadorship,” the second source claimed.

Chelsea Clinton Ambassadorship In The Works?
Former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, in stark contrast to former President Barack Obama and his First Lady Michelle Obama, were among the first to endorse Harris after Joe Biden dropped his re-election bid.
“We are honored to join the President in endorsing Vice President Harris and will do whatever we can to support her,” the Clintons said in a statement posted on X.
“Now is the time to support Kamala Harris and fight with everything we’ve got to elect her.”
Some have suggested that Biden and Clinton quickly endorsing Harris was an attempt to force Obama’s hand. Now, sources believe there may have been a more devious reason for the Clintons’ support.

Is It Likely?
One longtime British embassy official seemed to suggest Chelsea Clinton’s youth and lack of experience, not to mention her lack of standing as a fundraiser, means it’s unlikely she’d earn an ambassadorship to the UK.
“I can well imagine that the UK ambassadorship is an aspiration for Chelsea, although she is a bit junior still — and London usually goes to a massive donor or fundraiser,” they told the Post.
The first source was a little more blunt.
“It is, of course, fantasy land,” they said.
The Post reports that the source suggested an ambassadorship to South Africa would be a more appropriate selection for Chelsea Clinton.
“She cares so deeply about public health. South Africa is high profile enough and highly sought after,” they said.
A better scenario would be Chelsea Clinton serving as ambassador to Haiti.
