Less than two years ago, a more conservative Wisconsin Supreme Court effectively banned most ballot drop boxes. On Friday, that changed.

With liberals now in charge of the court, the decision was quickly overturned in a vote of 4-3, reinstating their use in the battleground state.

In 2022, the Supreme Court heard arguments against the use of drop boxes brought by conservative groups, eventually ruling that voters wishing to cast absentee ballots would only be able to drop their vote off at the offices of election clerks. Upon winning the Court back in 2023, liberals quickly set upon reversing that decision much to the dismay of Republicans who believe drop boxes have ties to election fraud.

“Our decision today does not force or require that any municipal clerks use drop boxes,” reads the decision. “It merely acknowledges … that clerks may lawfully utilize secure drop boxes in an exercise of their statutorily conferred discretion.”

Scott Pressler sounded the alarm bells on X, warning the GOP that serious action will be needed in November to defeat President Joe Biden’s campaign.

But while many view this as a blow to the Republican agenda, others see it as fuel on the fire to get former President Donald Trump reelected. Many are even encouraging others to play the liberals’ game.
