Lainey Wilson is proud to be an American.

The popular country music singer is one of the fastest rising entertainers in America, and she’s also not afraid to praise America.

It seems like there’s been a bit of a vibe shift recently. It’s starting to, once again, become cool to be a patriot. Of course, I’ve always been proud and I’m sure all of you reading this are too. It just seems like now people are getting more and more vocal.

You can now add Lainey Wilson to the list.

With us cruising into the weekend after the 4th of July, it certainly seems like the perfect time to shower the USA with a little praise. That’s what Wilson is all about.

“Being an American to me, oh my goodness, it means everything to me. I tell you what, I would not be able to be doing this. It means being free, and freedom is a good feeling,” Wilson told Fox News Digital in a piece published Friday ahead of the ACM Awards.

The “Yellowstone” actress and country music sensation didn’t stop there. She also took time to praise her upbringing and the work ethic of the people who surrounded her.

She further told Fox News Digital the following:

“I truly do think it is from being from a long line of farmers. I mean, on my mom’s side and my daddy’s side. They rolled their sleeves up. They got to work every single day and had good years and bad years, but at the end of the day, they loved it. So that meant that they got up and they did it again, and they’d fall down and they’d do it again. They just had no other option and my daddy has always tried to remind me that he worked really hard, but he’s not just working hard for himself. He’s working hard for me and my sister and my mama and my sister’s kids and one day my kids.”

Props to Wilson for speaking up for the USA and America. We might have some flaws, but this is the greatest country in the history of the world, and we won’t apologize for it. The red, white and blue is a force for global good and the flag represents freedom. Some people might hate the gorgeous country we call home, but I’m not one of them, OutKick readers aren’t one of them and Lainey Wilson isn’t.
