The collective left could now count President Joe Biden himself among those reportedly weighing his departure from the race according to a “key ally.”

Be it the expected rematch of the 2020 presidential race or the conviction of former President Donald Trump, like Christmas in July 2024’s year of firsts could now include an October surprise in July as corporate media pull back the veil they’ve held aloft and cease gaslighting about Biden’s cognitive ability.

While the Democratic Party continues to push back on any report suggesting the incumbent’s campaign days are numbered, the New York Times released a new claim Wednesday that even the resident-in-chief was muddling the writing on the wall.

“President Biden has told a key ally that he knows he may not be able to salvage his candidacy if he cannot convince the public in the coming days that he is up for the job after a disastrous debate performance last week,” detailed the newspaper as they cited the individual on the condition of anonymity, “He knows if he has two more events like that, we’re in a different place.”

Since the head-to-head with Trump, Biden has yet to make an unscripted public appearance, and his first planned sit-down interview was readily expected to be damage control. Friday, he is slated to join ABC’s George Stephanopoulos to tape the Q&A that will air in segments on “Good Morning America” over the weekend before the extended cut will play during “This Week.”

Whatever reset Biden’s inner circle is expecting to get from the president talking with the Never Trump talking head, it has the potential of being too little too late as there has been no slowing in talks to see the incumbent cast aside for another candidate.

Wednesday, CNN picked up on the story from the Times and reported, “This is the first indication Mr. Biden could end his re-election bid as the fallout from his disastrous debate performance continues to be felt.”

Even as White House spokesman Andrew Bates argued to the newspaper that the report was “absolutely false” and complained about not being given ample time to respond, a top adviser added anonymously that Biden is “well aware of the political challenge he faces.”

“He is also continuing to reach out to people he has long trusted and has told at least one person that he is open to the possibility that his plans to move on from his debate performance — and flip the focus back to his challenger, Trump — may not work,” stated the Times.

In addition to polling numbers showing the vast majority of registered voters recognizing that Biden does not have the mental and cognitive health necessary to keep his job, oddsmakers painted a bleak picture for the presumptive candidacy to become official.

Committee to Unleash Prosperity President Phil Kerpen shared some betting odds for the Democratic nomination showing that Biden had plummeted nearly 45 points to just over 20% odds while Vice President Kamala Harris shot up nearly 32 points to a 45% chance with the caption, “It’s done.”

Before making his way to chat with Stephanopoulos, Biden was scheduled to have a meeting at the White House Wednesday evening with Democratic governors.
