It’s all but fitting that the former commissioner of the New York Office of Addiction Services and Supports was busted for allegedly driving under the influence.

Arlene González-Sánchez, 68, was arrested in Queens last week and “allegedly was so plastered that she slammed into parked cars and urinated on herself,” the New York Post reported.

According to the Queens District Attorney’s Office, González-Sánchez, who stepped down in 2021 after 10 years, had a blood-alcohol content of .20, which is two and a half times the legal limit. She also allegedly uttered to the cop who pulled her over, “Commissioner.”

She was arraigned on driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, and other charges after being arrested Friday night.

NYPD Officer Christopher Machalek wrote in a criminal complaint that he heard a loud crash near an intersection and observed several cars with badly damaged bumpers. One of the cars was a 2001 Toyota 4Runner, with González-Sánchez sitting in the driver’s seat.

More from the Post:

He watched as she tried to drive away but then ran up a curb and landed on the sidewalk instead, the court document said.

Machalek approached González-Sánchez’s car and found her reeking of alcohol, with watery eyes and slurred speech, the complaint said.

He put her car in park, pulled the keys out and got her out of the SUV — and that’s when she allegedly urinated on herself.

González-Sánchez is a licensed social worker with three degrees, including a bachelor’s in biology, a master’s in cell biology, both from Fordham University, and a master’s degree in administration and community organization from the Hunger College School of Social Work, the Post noted, citing her online biography.

She was appointed to head up the state’s Office of Addiction Services and Supports on Jan. 3, 2011, by then-Gov. Andrew Cuomo. González-Sánchez was outed in Sept. 2021, as part of Gov. Kathy Hochul’s “purge of her predecessor’s many appointees, the newspaper reported.
