Oklahoma defensive back Billy Bowman decided to hop on social media and take a shot at Jaxson Dart.

Bowman and the Sooners are now members of the SEC. It’s an exciting time for college football fans, and the Oklahoma CB decided to stir the pot a couple months out from the season starting.

He quote tweeted a video of Jaxson Dart missing a pass at the Manning Passing Academy with the caption, “pick six [yawn emoji].”

Shots fired, indeed.

Jaxson Dart responds after Billy Bowman mocks bad pass

Dart clearly isn’t worried about his skills and talents when it comes to throwing the ball because he wasted no time before firing back.

Something tells me the October 26th matchup between the Rebels and Sooners just got a lot more interesting. Oklahoma will travel to Oxford, and after this completely unnecessary and unprompted shot, I get a feeling Dart and his teammates might circle that game on the calendar.

Oklahoma hasn’t played a single SEC game yet, and one of the team’s best players is stirring up controversy. Are you not entertained?

Quinn Ewers said he thinks Texas will be every team’s biggest game, and Bowman is giving Ole Miss bulletin board material. Say whatever you want about the Sooners and Longhorns, but they’ve already made the SEC more interesting and entertaining.

Now, if you’re going to talk trash like this, you better back it up. Dart is no bum. He threw for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns last season.

On top of that, Ole Miss should be one of the best teams in America this season. Bowman has set himself up to be humiliated if the Sooners travel to Oxford and he under-performs or the team loses.

Be careful what checks your mouth writes because they’ll eventually need to be cashed. Let me know what you think about the shot at Dart at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
