The Seattle Pride Parade took place Sunday afternoon with former U.S. Women’s Soccer player Megan Rapinoe as the grand marshal.

For some reason, the parade was led by children from the Boy Scouts Of America, which recently announced it will change its name next year to remove the word “boy” to promote more inclusivity.

But the big news came from Rapinoe when a reporter from The Post Millennial pressed the former soccer player on her views on transgender athletes in women’s sports.

Rapinoe, who is only famous because she’s good at soccer and spent her entire career competing against women, is adamantly in favor of allowing biological men who declare themselves to be girls or women to play in girls’ and women’s sports.

It’s an odd stance for a high-level female athlete to support something that isn’t rooted in things like – oh, I don’t know – logic, common sense, science, and reality.

Instead, she’s part of the hardcore-left-wing radical cult that believes identity politics supersedes everything else.

Reporter asks Megan Rapinoe to discuss her position on transgender athletes in women’s sports.

TPM reporter Katie Davis pressed Rapinoe on her opinions about biological men competing in women’s sports. She started by reminding Rapinoe that the U.S. Women’s National Team once lost a scrimmage to a U15 boys’ soccer team in Dallas.

At that point, Rapinoe condescendingly laughs and mouths the words, “Oh my God.” Sue Bird, Rapinoe’s fiancée, quickly grabs Rapinoe and comfortingly rubs her back. Clearly, Rapinoe needed some consoling after the harsh reminder of that devastating loss in 2017.

“Do you really think it’s fair for … boys to be competing in women’s sports?” Davis asks Rapinoe. She re-phrased and asked the same question again, but Rapinoe completely ignored her.

At this point, a security officer steps between Davis and Rapinoe because clearly the former soccer player needed to be protected from the dangers of being asked difficult questions by a journalist.

Rapinoe and Bird, who both played sports at a high level, know that their position is ridiculous. If men were allowed to compete in women’s sports, neither Rapinoe nor Bird would have ever played professionally.

In fact, playing women’s sports against women has allowed both women to become millionaires and take their place among the elites in American society.

But why should they care if future female athletes are harmed? Both of their sporting careers are over. They don’t have any children. Instead, Rapinoe and Bird elect to serve their new master – left-wing politics – over the feelings and needs of other women.

It’s sad to see two women – who owe everything they have to women’s sports – completely turn their backs during a time when it, arguably, needs them most.

That’s where we are, as a society, though. People become so married to their ideology that they can’t even call out obvious injustice.

Instead, they focus their attention on parading through cities talking about “pride.”
