President Joe Biden’s wealthy supporters reportedly have jitters about his debate performance ahead of a swanky Hamptons fundraiser.

Many (though not all) of the wealthy supporters still intend to attend the fundraiser, sources told the New York Post, but their assumption is he’ll offer a “better performance” this time around versus on Thursday.

“We have no choice but to believe Biden will redeem himself,” one of the sources told the Post. “The alternative is so unthinkable. I’m going and everyone I know is still going.”

Reiterating his loyalty to dear leader, the source added, “I go home with the girl I brought to the dance.”

He did at least acknowledge that most voters “might not be excited [about Biden]” but argued that “at the end of the day, this is where we are.”

Meanwhile, another donor who’s NOT planning to attend said, “Everyone going [to the fundraiser] is extremely disappointed. Everyone paid in advance… so it could be an opportunity to encourage him to drop out.”

The donor predicted that first lady Jill Biden would receive a less-than-welcome reception at the fundraiser because “lots of people are blaming [her] for not telling him [to step aside].”

A Democrat advisor added that “Jill Biden likes being First Lady… she doesn’t want to give that up.”

The Drudge Report, which has turned exceedingly left-wing in recent years, seems to share the same belief:

All this was slated to start on Friday.

“The President is planning a swing through the ritzy enclave of East Hampton after visiting New York City Friday to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Stone Wall Inn riots with Elton John and attend a fundraiser at the Hammerstein Ballroom,” the Post notes.

“Biden will join hedge fund manager Barry Rosentein (sic) and his wife Lizanne at their sprawling 18-acre oceanfront property in East Hampton — a home that set a record for most expensive residential real estate sale when the Rosensteins bought it in 2014.

A number of famous/powerful figures will be in attendance, including but not limited to Clinton allies Nicole and Michael Fox, hedge fund manager Eric Mindich and his producer wife Stacey, celebs Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, and actor Michael J. Fox and Tracy Pollan.

All of them are reportedly on the “host committee” and have spent up to a quarter of a million for the privilege to meet and speak directly with the president.

Tickets reportedly start at $3,000 but quickly rise up. For example, $30,000 gets a “champion” ticket that includes a photo with President Biden and “preferred seating” at the fundraiser. A $100,000 “co-host” ticket, meanwhile, gets a photo for two, in addition to “preferred seating.”

While it’s not clear how many tickets have been sold, one attendee told the Post that there were still tickets up for sale when they bought their ticket earlier in the week.

This reporting comes following the president’s disastrous, widely panned performance debating former President Donald Trump.

His performance was so bad that it caused a thousand columns and reports to appear on Friday calling for him to step down and let someone else run for president as the Democrat Party nominee instead.

“Democrats are despairing over President Joe Biden’s debate performance Thursday night, a showing so halting some even privately raised questions about whether he should remain the party’s nominee,” CNN reported.

“Biden appeared onstage with a soft, halting voice and an open-mouthed, staring look. He struggled to finish thoughts at points, and ceded ground on issues like abortion where Democrats have an edge. It took just minutes for Democrats to realize how bad it was becoming.”

“Biden looks and sounds terrible. He’s incoherent,” one Democrat who previously worked in the president’s administration told CNN.

“Horrific,” another Democrat operative said.

A third Democrat added, “We are f—ed.”

“It’s hard to argue that Biden should be our nominee,” a fourth operative said.

Of course, Democrats don’t really have much of an option anymore this late in the game, especially with conservative organizations gearing up to declare war on anyone who tries to replace Biden on the ballot:

As previously reported, the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project is preparing to go to war to PREVENT President Joe Biden from dropping out of this year’s presidential election by taking advantage of state laws already on the books.
