Diana Taurasi doesn’t seem to care at all about playing Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

Clark and Taurasi will meet this Sunday in Phoenix, and it kind of represents the old meeting the new. The Mercury star has been a major WNBA player since entering the league all the way back in 2004.

Clark represents the new era and is responsible for the league seeing a massive boost in popularity. Does Taurasi see the symbolic nature of the two meeting on the court?

Not at all.

Diana Taurasi reacts to upcoming game against Caitlin Clark.

The Phoenix Mercury guard was asked about what it’ll be like to face the former Iowa phenom turned WNBA sensation. She didn’t need many words to provide her breakdown.

“Yeah, it’ll be fun,” the veteran WNBA player told the media Wednesday. It also certainly appeared like Taurasi wasn’t interested in discussing the game against the 22-year-old sensation and face of the league.

Check out her response in the video below, and hit me with your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com. It’s an all-time vibe of not caring.

Is it just me or did Dianawho previously told Clark fans to dial back expectations – seem a bit salty there? Am I wrong in my thinking? It seems like everyone has something to say about Caitlin Clark.

Coaches, players and media members love talking about her, and I don’t blame anyone who does. She’s the most famous female athlete in the sport, and already significantly more famous than many NBA players.

Her impact on the sport is unprecedented. And yet, Taurasi blew off that question like it was borderline annoying to even have to address.

I guess she’s content letting the play on the court do the talking this Sunday afternoon on ESPN. Let me know your thoughts at David.Hookstead@outkick.com.
