Debate Week: Two Time Loser Hillary Clinton Recalls Debating Trump and

Hillary Clinton penned a guest editorial for the New York Times. She advises President Biden about the upcoming presidential debate on Thursday night.

It’s debate week and she has experience in debating both Biden and former President Trump. She wants desperately to remain relevant in American politics and this is a way for her to do that this week. We are never going to get rid of her, are we?

Is she really the best person to be advising on running for president, though? She didn’t bother to campaign in Wisconsin in 2016. That was pretty dumb for a person experienced in presidential campaigns since her husband ran and won twice. It’s not like Wisconsin is like Wyoming or some other predictable state. Wisconsin has a history of being a swing state.

Anyway, Hillary debated then-Senator Biden in 2008 during the Democrat primary. She debated Trump in 2016.

Hillary preens about her role as co-producer of “Suffs”, the Broadway play about American suffragettes. Then she mentioned she loves shows about politics but “not the other way around.” Then she began to blast Trump.

She debated Trump three times in 2016. She claimed, “he unleashed a blizzard of interruptions, insults and lies that overwhelmed the moderators and did a disservice to the voters who tuned in to learn about our visions for the country — including a record 84 million viewers for our first debate.”

Let’s be real – viewers tuned in for the show Hillary pretends she didn’t want. Those who planned to vote already knew for whom they would vote. While Hillary took for granted typical Democrat voters, Trump was building new coalitions of voters, like the middle class. blue-collar working people who normally voted Democrat. Trump worked to appeal to everyone. It’s still how he campaigns.

Here is a paragraph I would describe as pure projection:

It is a waste of time to try to refute Mr. Trump’s arguments like in a normal debate. It’s nearly impossible to identify what his arguments even are. He starts with nonsense and then digresses into blather. This has gotten only worse in the years since we debated. I was not surprised that after a recent meeting, several chief executives said that Mr. Trump, as one journalist described it, “could not keep a straight thought” and was “all over the map.” Yet expectations for him are so low that if he doesn’t literally light himself on fire on Thursday evening, some will say he was downright presidential.

That sounds like Joe Biden, not Donald Trump. Even some of Trump’s opponents admit that this time around, Trump is more focused and professional. He stays on topic when he needs to. It’s Joe Biden who babbles and mumbles in a low voice that those around him do not understand. Some reports are that Biden closes his eyes for extended periods of time during meetings. That sounds like he’s dozing off during the day.

She mentions that Trump ‘stalked’ her on stage. That brought up a flashback for me – remember when Al Gore moved really close to George W. Bush during one of their debates in 2000? Heh.

There are the usual talking points about how great Biden has been as president. She points to the pandemic recovery but doesn’t admit that it was Biden’s policies that slowed the already budding recovery he inherited from Trump. She touts Biden’s delivery of the State of the Union address. I guess she was impressed by how he turned into an angry old man shouting at his audience and speaking too quickly. Will his handlers make sure he is amped up on whatever he was amped up on that night when he goes to the debate on Thursday night?

She has three things for viewers to pay attention to during the debate.

“First, pay attention to how the candidates talk about people, not just policies.” That’s all about abortion. She predicts that Trump will support abortion being a state right not a federal right. That is an easy prediction. There is no constitutional right to abortion. “Mr. Biden is one of the most empathetic leaders we’ve ever had.” Really? What about the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan? The humanitarian crisis and national security crisis brought on by the open southern border? What about the families of fallen police officers and families of those murdered by illegal aliens? What about Americans held hostage in other countries? Biden ignores all of them but if a BLM activist is jailed he’s all over that. What about when George Floyd died from a drug overdose and Biden blamed cops? Democrats turned Floyd, an addict and a felon, into a saint. Biden still invites Floyd’s family to the White House, though the real story is out.

Hillary’s second point is, “try to see through the bluster and focus on the fundamentals at stake.” Here she brings up January 6 and the riot she calls the “deadly insurrection.” The one person who died that day was Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old Air Force veteran who was killed by Capitol Police.

She predicts that Trump will blame Biden for inflation. He should. It was Biden’s out-of-control spending that ramped inflation up to 9%. He inherited an inflation rate of 1.4% from the Trump administration.

The third point is a beaut. She said to compare the two men as they are side by side. “It’s between chaos and competence.”

Mr. Trump has been convicted of 34 felonies and found liable for sexual assault and financial fraud. He’s spent a lifetime putting himself first. If he gets back to the White House, we’ll have more inflation and less freedom. It won’t just be a rerun of his first term. Since losing in 2020, Mr. Trump has become angrier and more unhinged. His former secretary of defense says he is “a threat to democracy.” His former chief of staff says he “has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.” Remember that on Thursday when you hear Mr. Trump recite his grievances and vow retribution.

By contrast, Mr. Biden is a wise and decent man who is fighting hard for working families. Yes, he’s 81. That’s just three years older than Mr. Trump. And his lifetime of service and experience helps him get things done that make our country stronger and all of our lives better, from bringing Democrats and Republicans together to fix crumbling roads and bridges to standing up to Russian aggression.

This election is between a convicted criminal out for revenge and a president who delivers results for the American people. No matter what happens in the debate, that’s an easy choice.

That’s a lot of nonsense, even for Hillary. It is an easy choice, Hillary. Joe Biden is turning America into a banana republic. The Marxists running the White House are out of control. We can’t survive another four years of Biden’s America. Life was a lot better during the Trump administration.

Biden is the one with everything to lose in this debate. The bar is low, though, so as long as he remains upright (he is practicing standing for 90 minutes) and doesn’t have any freeze episodes, the media will declare him the winner. Can he do it? He has to prove he can do the job for another four years.
