A bunch of whales beached themselves on Saturday in New York and I am not talking about the marine mammal.

In the name of all things inclusive and fat acceptance, a bunch of self-described fat people went to the beach, in what was supposed to be a protest against fatphobia.

According to The Post Millennial:

Jacob Riis Beach in New York hosted a “Fat Beach Day” event on Saturday, aimed at countering so-called fatphobia and providing a welcoming space for overweight individuals.

Someone should really tell these people they are allowed to go to the beach whenever they want, as it’s a public place. Unclear why they need to announce they visited a place that is frequently visited in the summer, but clearly, they need attention.

The event, organized by Jordan Underwood, sought to create an environment where people could feel comfortable and accepted regardless of their size.

Not feeling accepted is a personal problem and I am getting tired of hearing about this as if it’s some societal issue.

This sheds light on the real issue at hand, which is these people blaming everyone else but themselves for their behavior. The problem does not lie in a lack of acceptance, but in the fact that they refuse to take action on their health. This is not a societal problem, it’s a fat people problem.

“We’re going through something culturally that is impacting us every day on an individual level and a systemic level,” Underwood explained to The Guardian. “We’re really trying to open up a space for people to be themselves.”

LOL. What cultural problem? How can their health issues be anyone’s problem but their own? Why do they think they are so important that they need to cry about their insecurities to the media?

Similar events are being held across the United States to provide spaces for the “plus-size community” to come together and celebrate their bodies. A Fat Friends Pool Party is scheduled in Chicago in July, and a Bellies Out Beach Day will soon take place in Los Angeles in a few weeks.

Another reason why body positivity is such a lie is because it only relates to one extreme body type at the far end of the spectrum, and could care less about accepting skinny people.

Just imagine that a bunch of skinny people held similar events throughout the summer, these people would take it as a personal attack as if they were being oppressed. But the only ones oppressing them are themselves.

Subconsciously, they are the ones who refuse to accept their size. And no matter how much they lie and gaslight themselves, they know deep down that the problem lies with them. So no matter how much they want to make obesity everyone else’s problem, it’s theirs and no amount of beach days will fix that.
