Just days away from CNN hosting the first presidential debate, host Kasie Hunt abruptly ended an interview with Trump press secretary Karoline Leavitt for bringing up Jake Tapper.

Leavitt was attempting to highlight Tapper’s history of anti-Trump comments.

“Ma’am, we’re going to stop right there if you’re going to keep attacking my colleagues,” Hunt said. “I would like to talk about Joe Biden and Donald Trump, who you work for.”

Leavitt stressed she was “stating facts” as Hunt talked over her, threatening to pull the plug on the interview.

“I’m sorry guys … Karoline thank you very much for your time. You’re welcome to come back at any time,” Hunt suddenly declared.

Watch the exchange below:

Hunt posted a message on X following the interview, saying “You come on my show, you respect my colleagues. Period. I don’t care what side of the aisle you stand on, as my track record clearly shows.”

Leavitt responded: You cut off my microphone for bringing up the debate moderator’s history of anti-Trump lies. This proved our point that President Trump will not be treated fairly on Thursday. Yet he is still willing to go into this 3-1 fight to bring his winning message to the American people, and he will win.”
