On Thursday, CNN will host the first presidential debate of the 2024 election cycle between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. CNN hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash will moderate.

The criticism about the choice of these moderators is that they could turn this into a 3-on-1 debate rather than a 1-on-1 between Trump and Biden. Hopefully, the questions asked by the moderators will include more policy conversation rather than an obsession over Trump’s controversial business fraud conviction

However, Tapper has a history of bashing Trump, even calling him Adolf Hitler. Let’s take a trip down memory lane and watch what Tapper actually thinks about the former president.

Tapper had this to say about Trump’s comment about illegal aliens “poisoning the blood of our country.”

With four weeks until Ohioans cast the nation’s first votes in the 2024 presidential race, the dehumanizing rhetoric of Adolf Hitler is once again alive and well on the national political stage. This time, of course, in the United States. This time, given life by former president and current Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump, whose thoughts on immigrants were made shockingly crystal clear over the weekend. If you were to open up a copy of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf,’ you would find the Nazi leader describing the mixing of non-Germans with Germans as poisoning. The Jew, Hitler wrote, quote, ‘poisons the blood of others.’

Anybody who disagrees with Tapper and the left is labeled as a “Nazi sympathizer,” even with the left’s physical attacks on the Jewish community since the Oct. 7 terrorist assault on Israel by Hamas.

During another segment on-air, Tapper said:

If you were to open up a copy of Hitler’s ‘Mein Kempf,’ you would find the Nazi leader describing the mixing of non-Germans with Germans as ‘poisoning.’ There is really no other way to say it, Donald Trump’s language mirrors this directly.

Here is the compilation of Tapper comparing Trump to Hitler:

What Tapper is missing is that Trump is not talking about legal immigrants; he is talking about those entering America illegally. After several murders of young women were committed by illegal aliens, there has been more support to deport every illegal that is currently in the country. According to Tapper’s logic, those people, including 53 percent of Hispanics, among other demographics, are “Nazi sympathizers.”

The open border is the biggest insult to legal immigrants because legal immigrants came into America the right way; some waited months, some waited years, but they got in legally. They did not receive any benefits for waiting, like the ones many illegals are currently receiving in New York City. Working in the media, Tapper should know what the polls are saying about minority support for illegal immigration. He should know that at least half of the country, including 42 percent of Democrats, support mass deportation of illegals.

Tapper should get out of his cocoon and go back into the real world to see why Americans are against illegal immigration — then maybe he will learn a thing or two.

As for the debate on Thursday, we hope it won’t be a lopsided 3-on-1 but instead a 1-on-1 between Trump and Biden, hopefully resulting in a policy conversation for the voters to see which policy they support and who they want to lead the country for the next four years.
