It is in the nature of progressives to tear things down.

In 2024, LGBTQ+ activists went from transing the kids to supporting Palestine,
a society that would gladly throw them off a roof if they ever stepped foot in the Gaza strip. But, the progressive agenda called and the Rainbow Jihad answered the ululating warble, screaming “from the river to the sea” with no understanding for what it meant.

Why?

Because the endgame of progressive leftism is destruction.

You see their arguments everywhere:

Defund the police

Stop Oil Protests

Anti-White struggle sessions

We can even
thank Progressivism for prolonging the Great Depression. What started as an expansion of the state has morphed into a monster that consumes everything and creates nothing.

Hey, at least they
apologized for that chart on whiteness.

It’s nothing new that the progressives control Hollywood. Just this week, the medical drama New Amsterdam gave us the surprising diagnosis that
racism caused your son’s tumors.

Today I’m here to do a case study of Star Wars: The Acolyte. Because everyone’s talking about it. And that might be the point.

Things didn’t look great for this Star Wars show from the get-go.

Actor Charlie Barnett said not once, but twice in interviews before the show aired that Anakin blew up the Death Star.

For you uninitiated or for those of you who, like my mom, don’t care, Luke Skywalker blew up the Death Star in the first movie. I mean…that’s the whole third act of the movie. It’s kind of a big deal.

(I read this article to my mother, and she remembers that Luke blew up the Death Star)

Later, when asked if this was “the gayest Star Wars,” actor Amandla Stenberg and creator/showrunner Leslye Headland joked about how Star Wars was always gay and that R2-D2 was a lesbian.

He’s a robot.

Well, droid. But droid is Star Wars speak for robot.

The first two episodes dropped and reviews were scathing. Not from the critics, of course. The critics absolutely LOVED it. Well, not all of them. At least Rolling Stone didn’t give it a glowing recommendation.

Brace yourself, though. Those episodes were the good ones.

Episode three gives us lesbian witches in space.

Okay. I mean, I’m sick of the agenda getting pushed everywhere I look, but maybe there’s room in the franchise for Force users who don’t adhere to the light or dark side but exist somewhere in the middle. Why not?

Then, they use space magic to get pregnant.

Again, for the uninitiated and my mom, the prequel trilogy of Star Wars follows Anakin Skywalker before he becomes Darth Vader. He is conceived with the Force and serves as a Jesus/Chosen One motif. What if the Chosen One turns and becomes one of the most notorious villains in Western culture?

All of a sudden, Anakin’s not so special. Lesbian space witches have been getting knocked up by the Force for centuries. How dare you attempt a Jesus allegory in a story about wizards with laser swords in space?

The next episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte had a character respecting pronouns because subtly is for good storytellers and you will find none of those here. It also featured a character that shouldn’t be born yet, another needless detail that does nothing but undermine the existing property.

A big fight scene featuring a Wookiee Jedi was cut from the script (I know, I’m just as surprised as you are to hear they had any kind of oversight). The reason the scene was cut? Apparently, they couldn’t find room in the $180 million budget.

George Lucas made the original Star Wars film for $11 million.

Revenge of the Sith only cost a measly $115 million.

Which makes me think they’re trying to tear it all down.

But, why?

Why destroy a beloved intellectual property enjoyed by millions?

Is it just instinctual?

Do progressives hope that by destroying our pop culture idols, we will somehow be converted to worshiping theirs?

Do they think their ideology is so unimpeachable that the world will be forced to acknowledge their greatness?

Do they think somehow, like lesbians using space magic, they’ll be able to build something new, something better, that conforms to their ideology?

Or are they really so deluded they believe what they’ve created is great and the problem is really the fans?

I don’t know.

What I do know is that progressives in Hollywood can and will destroy every intellectual property they get their hands on.

All I can do is go forward under the assumption that Star Wars is no longer Star Wars, but a parody of it. They have destroyed it on purpose. It’s a troll to get us talking about it. And here we are. Talking about it.

It leaves me with the original series, scores of memories and a tub full of plastic toys that represent something that was once great. And no amount of progressivism can take that away.
