A Biden Homeland Security panel reportedly planned to persuade mothers and teachers to snitch on dissident parents and students.

The since-disbanded “Homeland Intelligence Experts Group” panel was created last year to ostensibly “provide advice and perspectives on intelligence and national security efforts,” according to internal documents obtained by the New York Post.

But featuring disgraced former Obama-era officials John Brennan and James Clapper, the panel in fact sought to collect intelligence on Americans nationwide by sidling “into local communities in [a] non-threatening way.”

Panel members reportedly noted to one another that “Americans have an ambivalent feeling of telling on each other.” This prompted the members to wonder “How do people safely report a concern about their neighbors?”

One solution proposed by the panel was to reclassify political dissent as a “public health” crisis to reportedly encourage Americans to report their family members or even their neighbors to the feds if they displayed so-called “concerning” behavior.

“To get a mother or teacher to come forward, it needs to be a public health catcher’s mitt,” one panel member said.

If this strategy failed, a panel member said they could try turning to corporate America to obtain intelligence on their employees.

“There is an industry ecosystem, companies are internally collecting open sources,” the person said. “Are you able to engage and use those products?”

Notes from this panel meeting also show that “departmental support [and] political … support for this mission” increased after the Jan. 6th riot.

All this info comes courtesy of Stephen Miller’s America First Legal, which sued last year alleging that the panel was a partisan operation that violated the Federal Advisory Committee Act. As part of a settlement reached in May, the Department of Homeland Security agreed to disband the group and hand over its internal documents.

“Thanks to America First Legal, we were able to get the Biden team’s personal documents outlining their strategy to monitor and intimidate dissenting views,” former Trump administration official Ric Grenell, who reportedly joined AFL’s lawsuit, told the Post.

“It is shocking to see such intolerance and paranoia in written form,” he added.

Responding to AFL’s findings, the public was shocked and furious.

Look:

The “Homeland Intelligence Experts Group” was awfully similar to the equally Orwellian “Disinformation Governance Board” that was led by Nina Jankowicz, a radical far-leftist who thinks any dissenting facts and opinions are a form of so-called “disinformation.”

Jankowicz became a household name in conservative homes two years ago when the Biden administration installed her as the head of the so-called “Disinformation Governance Board,” a veritable “Ministry of Truth” designed to censor speech.

She was admittedly a perfect fit for the job given her history of claiming that virtually every single Republican talking point is a form of “disinformation.”

Both the creation of the “Disinformation Governance Board” and Jankowicz’s appointment to it prompted a massive backlash, with conservatives, libertarians, and others accusing the administration of trying to silence dissenting speech. Sound familiar?
