As if the unfolding story of the Ecuadorian migrant charged with raping a 13-year-old girl in New York City was not bad enough, the man has reportedly admitted he recorded his criminal deed.

Christian Geovanny Inga-Landi, 25, made the horrible confession that was read during his arraignment on charges of rape, predatory sexual assault, kidnapping and more. The attack last week occurred in broad daylight in a Queens park. The young girl and a 13-year-old boy were bound and she was raped by the illegal migrant leaving many in shock and anger.

Angry New Yorkers beat and held the suspect until police arrived to arrest him after a five-day manhunt. Judge Joanne B. Watters ordered him held without bail during his appearance in Queens Criminal Court.

“I was nervous at first, then got comfortable and recorded it,” he admitted in a videotaped statement, prosecutors said, according to the New York Post.

Assistant District Attorney Kasey Esposito read a transcript of the videotaped statement in the court, relating that the migrant claimed he came across the teens having “sexual relations” in the park before he flashed a knife at them and tied them together with a shoelace.

“The brazen and brutal nature of this defendant’s actions are indicative of someone who does not follow the law, and who has no regard for anybody else, but himself, and he will not return to court,” Esposito said.

Inga-Landi is charged with predatory sexual assault, first-degree rape, two counts of second-degree kidnapping, two counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree rape, first-degree sexual abuse, obstructing governmental administration, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, the New York Post reported.

If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 25 years to life.
