Early in his term, the Biden Administration enacted at $42.5 billion program to give rural homes internet access.

3 years later, the program still hasn’t connected a single home to the internet.

According to a report, the project has been tied up in miles of government red tape, including [read this gem of a statement slowly to appreciate it] “climate change mandates, preferences for hiring union workers and the requirement that eligible companies prioritize the employment of “justice-impacted” people with criminal records to install broadband equipment.”

So the government wants to connect people to the internet, but it can’t, because it has to employ felons from unions who follow convoluted environmental policy.

Another classic example of government “efficiency!”

What makes this even more hilarious is that Elon Musk has already deployed Starlink at the estimated cost of about $10 billion, which can already deliver high-speed internet to all the rural areas of the country Biden is targeting.

Starlink has already connected 2.6 million people, including those in the most remote areas of the planet, with the internet.

Officials in the Biden Administration predict they will have some fiber optic projects completed by 2030.
