Patty Morin, mother of Rachel Morin, joined Hannity Tuesday night to react to the arrest of her daughter’s suspected killer Victor Martinez Hernandez — an illegal migrant from El Salvador.

“It’s been a very difficult time for all of us,” Morin told Hannity. “Feeling hopeless at some points along the way these last ten months, not knowing if we’d find the suspect, and then having it announced that a suspect was found just brought back all those deep emotions of pain and grief. It’s like processing her death all over again.”

“I believe all of this was preventable,” Hannity said, highlighting that government agencies failed to do their jobs —including DHS and HHS.

“It’s a senseless death,” Morin said. “Who would expect that almost 2000 miles from the southern border somebody coming from another country coming into our small town and just randomly attacking someone and brutally murdering them. We’ve opened our doors and we’ve let a stranger into our house. Who does that? We’re not protecting ourselves. We’re not protecting our families.”
