Lara Trump, daughter-in-law to former President Donald Trump, provided a big update on his personal well-being during an exclusive interview with Breitbart News during a Turning Point USA event earlier this week in Texas.

The Republican National Committee co-chair spoke with the news outlet on the sidelines of the event, which was held in San Antonio, saying that Donald Trump is “thriving” despite his historic felony conviction in New York last month and the ongoing legal and political assaults against him.

“I can’t even tell you how impressed I am with this man on a daily basis. He’s my father-in-law. And obviously … he holds a very dear place in my heart, but as just a human being, I don’t know anyone who could not just survive the things that he’s gone through but be thriving and really still be fighting and still be willing to take more,” she told the outlet, explaining that the former president knows there will be more “coming his way.”

“He truly … has this incredible ability, I think, to distance himself from things like this and really focus on the things that matter, and I gotta be honest, I’ve never seen him more focused on anything than he is right now on winning this election,” Lara continued, adding that the vast majority of people would never be able to withstand the onslaught of the ‘deep state.’

“I give him so much credit because I know that most people wouldn’t be able to take it,” she said. Lara also noted that she posts videos and other images to her social media accounts of her father-in-law interacting with his family and grandchildren.

“But I think it is those moment —  you know, with his grandkids, with our children — that continue to inspire him to want to go on because he knows and he said himself, this isn’t about me. This is so much bigger than him. It’s so much bigger than our family. This is about the future of this country and really the future of the world, and he wants a world where his grandchildren get to live in the same great America that he got to grow up in,” she continued.

“And I think it that sort of thing continues to inspire him, but I give him so much credit for the fight he has in him,” she continued, adding that her father-in-law “will never quit” and “never back down no matter what they decide to do to him.”

“He’s really a miraculous human being,” she said.

Donald Trump met virtually with his probation officer, who is based in New York City, following his felony conviction in his ‘hush money’ trial in Manhattan. According to a source who spoke with CBS News, Trump met with the PO for about half an hour on Monday.

“Earlier today, President Trump completed a routine interview with New York Probation Office,” the source said. “The interview was uneventful and lasted less than thirty minutes.”

For those convicted of crimes in Manhattan, interviews typically take place in person at the same building where Trump’s trial was held. Not all interviewees have their attorneys present, but after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg approved of it, Judge Juan Merchan allowed Trump to speak with Todd Blanche.

Trump was interviewed from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the outlet reported.

The probation officer’s report included details about Trump’s crimes, personal background, and criminal history.

On May 30, a unanimous jury found Trump guilty of 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in connection with a scheme to cover up reimbursements for a “hush money” payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016.
