Hunter Biden was found guilty yesterday on three felony gun charges. Does this mean no one is above the law? Today’s show breaks it down.

“He has been treated like a Biden, which means he is above the law,” Crowder said. “He has gotten favorable plea bargains across the board.”

According to ABC News:

The charges bring renewed legal pressure on the younger Biden after a plea agreement he struck with prosecutors imploded in recent months.

The younger Biden has been charged with two counts related to false statements in purchasing the firearm and a third count of illegally obtaining a firearm while addicted to drugs. The two counts of making false statements carry sentences of up to 10 years and five years, respectively, while the possession charge carries a sentence of up to 10 years.

Hunter was offered plea agreements that would have allowed him to avoid the gun charges.

Prosecutors have spent years scrutinizing Hunter Biden’s business endeavors and personal life — a probe that appeared to culminate in a plea agreement the two sides struck in June, which would have allowed him to plead guilty to a pair of misdemeanor tax offenses and enter into a pretrial diversion program to avoid prosecution on a felony gun charge.

“The guy would have gotten off scot-free,” Crowder said. “Just because we are here now does not mean these attempts were not made. There is a long list of crimes and we have barely scratched the surface.”

According to two IRS whistleblowers, “the Justice Department allowed the statute of limitations on certain charges against Hunter Biden to lapse, prohibited line investigators from referring to or asking about President Biden during witness interviews, withheld evidence from line investigators, excluded the investigative team from meetings with defense counsel, and tipped off defense counsel about pending search warrants.”

“You had a judicial system that protected this guy because his last name was Biden,” Crowder said. “They used the law to let Hunter Biden off and they created new laws to get Trump, that is the primary difference.”

Fifty-one former intelligence officials also previously labeled the laptop story as Russian disinformation and then doubled down even after it was authenticated.

“Don’t let this conviction distract you,” Crowder said. “These are the only crimes that don’t connect Hunter Biden to Joe Biden.”
