The U.S. Department of Labor has announced that “Menstrual Hygiene Day” is a thing and that the bureaucratic organization is currently working on creating a “period-friendly world.” However, nowhere in the announcement was the term “women” used, as they provided “5 easy actions employers can take to help menstruators thrive at work.”

Unclear if the agency is too stupid to realize this but there is absolutely no reason for them to assist “menstruators” at work, as they have survived on this planet for all of human history without the need for the government to help with that.

According to the department’s blog post, here are the “5 Ways Employers Can Make Workplaces More Menstruation-Friendly:”

Provide a sufficient supply of varied period products in bathrooms and ensure menstruators can access products privately.

Allow flexibility in uniforms, with options in dark colors to ensure menstruators do not need to worry that an unexpected period or heavier flow will lead to noticeable stains.

Allow scheduling and work flexibilities such as telework, flexible work hours or shift modifications.

Guarantee access to paid sick leave, provide explicit guidance that menstruation is a qualifying condition for the leave – whether for symptom management or for related medical appointments – and ensure that employees and their managers are aware these are allowable reasons to use sick leave.

Educate and train workers and managers about the symptoms of menstruation and how they can impact employees at work and include support services for menstruation in any Employee Assistance Program offered.

I don’t have to tell you how incredibly insulting it is that the DOL is flat-out refusing to use the term “women.” There is no one in the entire world who would get offended by that, as biology is not bigotry.

Unclear if a menstruator wrote that blog post but I really didn’t need to read about the government’s thoughts on a “heavier flow” or “noticeable stains.” It’s not their job to be concerned with that.

They are also acting as if this is a medical condition, so much so that they claim employers need to “educate and train workers and managers about the symptoms of menstruation.”

Can the White House get any more misogynistic? Do they hate women so much that they refuse to even say the word? Do they hate them so much that they truly believe women become disabled each month to the point they can’t work?

It’s always been true that the government tends to hire the most incompetent people in existence. But it’s only a recent phenomenon that these people have been so mentally retarded that they have no clue the term “women” exists.

And even if they used the term “women,” the post wouldn’t be any less foolish considering that not one single person would benefit from this “information” beyond the age of 10. Do they really think the workforce is as stupid as them?

It’s an unspoken rule that humanity does not talk about bodily functions at work and it should not be the government’s priority to show their blatant bigotry as they label half the population as disabled, when they have proved over and over that they are the ones who are mentally handicapped.

And just like nearly every bureaucratic organization, the DOL is a total joke and must be disbanded immediately.

All that said, now that we have established that the federal government is trying to make “Menstrual Hygiene Day” a thing, can we please start working on something the least bit significant?
