According to Fox News correspondent Griff Jenkins, one of the two Jordanian nationals caught trying to breach Quantico Marine Corps Base was apprehended at the border last month — and released.

Jenkins shared the latest information on X.

One of the two Jordanian nationals involved in the attempted breach at Marine Corps Base Quantico on May 3rd illegally crossed the border last month (April) in the San Diego sector and was released on an NTA (notice to appear) because there was no initial derogatory information found.

The other Jordanian national was an F1 Student Visa Overstay.

Neither have a criminal history in the U.S.

Officials say they are withholding their identities over privacy issues.

Both men are still in ICE custody awaiting removal proceedings. Officials say NO information has surfaced to suggest terror-related motives… and Ono weapons were found in the box truck when they were detained.

But there are still a lot of questions over WHAT they were doing trying to access one of the nation’s most secure military bases? And what is the relationship between these two men to connect across the country shortly after one crossed in SDC?

According to a Quantico base statement, the Jordanians told MPs they were working for an Amazon subcontractor. But Amazon says on background they have no knowledge of them working for them.

DHS has yet to respond to our repeated requests for a statement or information.
