Rat lives matter.

The left often takes a group of people and claims they are supposedly worthy of “rights,” which really just means special treatment at the expense of human rights. However, it’s not every day we see them do this for vermin.

PETA has slammed New York Mayor Eric Adams because he “hates rats” and that he “could apparently use a lesson in showing kindness and respect for all New Yorkers.” And by “all” they mean rats are of of equal value to humans.

“Instead of trash-talking rats, Mayor Adams should focus on clearing New York’s streets of the massive heaps of garbage attracting them in the first place,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA is calling on Adams to stop villainizing rats for a problem created by humans and to address this issue with respect and understanding.”

To be fair, they do have a point that demonizing the rats won’t fix the problem, considering how objectively disgusting the city is.

PETA points out that the adoption of better trash pickup procedures and the implementation of rat birth control—which the city is finally considering but should move quickly on—are the keys to truly solving the situation. Killing methods such as glue traps, poisons, or drowning are not only cruel to rats but also ineffective, as the decreased competition for available food sources leads to accelerated breeding among survivors—and a spike in populations. New Yorkers can help do their part by not leaving out food, keeping trash in chew-proof containers, and never buying or using cruel and ineffective wildlife-control products.

Not too sure about giving rats birth control. Don’t think the right way to go about the issue is to subject them to massive amounts of estrogen and that getting into the water supply. We don’t want another “frogs are gay” situation.

It’s no surprise that where the Democrats go, rats follow. That’s a fact. The most rat-infested cities are all run by the left. That’s why they call it “the swamp.”

PETA has already rushed over their “empathy kit” to the mayor as well as their “rats have rights” mug.

The real issue is that New York City is one of the most expensive places to live in the world, yet people will intentionally rent an apartment that has a rat infestation. Nowhere else in the country would that be a thing but in NYC it’s the status quo.

The left never fixes anything, so don’t expect anything but an increase in the rat population the more money they spend on it becayse that’s what they do best.
