For historical purposes, The Battle of the Bulge was one of the most famous battles in World War II. It started on December 16, 1944, after Nazi German forces launched a shock attack on Allied forces in the forested Ardennes region in Belgium, Luxembourg, and France. The term “bulge” refers to the wedge Germany drove between the Allies’ lines.
The battle lasted until the Allied powers mounted a counter-offensive that forced German troops to withdraw precisely a month later.
According to her spokesperson Ian Krager, Pelosi is receiving treatment from medical professionals in the tiny European country. He claims she can still work but will be unable to attend the remaining engagements.
He said Pelosi was honored to travel with the delegation, noting the former speaker had family members who fought in World War II, including her uncle.
AS TGP readers know, Pelosi has had disturbing episodes that have raised serious concerns regarding her health. For years, she has been seen during press conferences and interviews not only slurring her words, but also having brain freezes.
Despite these concerns, she decided to file for re-election anyway last month.
This distressing news regarding Pelosi’s health also comes after news emerged this week that former Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sustained a fall so bad he now needs help simply walking. It’s only a matter of time before another elderly member of Congress suffers a major medical episode.
Such news should also provide a strong sense of urgency in imposing congressional term limits. Unfortunately, members of Congress want to maintain power at all costs.
