Yup, fact checking a meme that says “MAGA” means “magician,” “witch,” “evil,” “sucker,” “lies,” and “dragon” in a bunch of other languages.

Did you know that if you take a acronym from one language and match it to the sounds in other languages, that you might be able to find vulgar meanings? Who knew??

Snopes felt it was essential to fact check this revelation, however. They make sure to focus on the important things!

Snopes translated ‘maga’ into the languages listed on the meme above using Google Translate, which presents the possibility of error and may not always be accurate. Even so, the translations indicated that most of these translations were accurate. Other online tools were also used to support the translations.

These relationships are homonyms, multiple words with the same spelling or pronunciation but different meanings or origins.
