Tim Walz Administration Plans Retreat for 'BIPOC' Library

Radical leftist Tim Walz — Minnesota’s Democrat governor and Kamala Harris’s vice presidential running mate— has not only proven himself to be a serial liar; he’s also a blatant hypocrite.

Perfect case in point:

Walz’s Minnesota State Library Services plans to hold a BIPOC-only (Black, Indigenous, people of color) retreat for library workers in October, which will exclude “white” and “heterosexual” library workers, according to the event’s registration page.

Before we continue, imagine JD Vance or Donald Trump holding an event for white and heterosexual people only. The histrionics on the left would be epic. From Kamala Harris and Tim Walz to every Democrat in Congress, along with the screechers at CNN and MSNBC, they would absolutely lose it.

The Walz administration describes the event as “a day of professional development and network-building designed specifically for BIPOC library workers of Minnesota.” Public (Minnesota taxpayer) funds will used to cover hotel lodging, meals, and other fees for those attending the program.

Not to nitpick, but wouldn’t it make more sense to hold the retreat for all library workers, regardless of race, ethnicity, or sexual preference? Call me crazy, but intentionally dividing workers along racial and sexual-proclivity lines seems like it will only lead to more divisiveness. Wait — you don’t think that’s actually the objective, do you?

Minnesota State Library Services is directed by Tamara Lee who, according to her LinkedIn profile, is “passionate about early literacy and racial equity in libraries” and has expressed support for Kendi’s idea of anti-racism.

Lee co-authored a 2021 piece in Information Today where she argued that “niceness” is a “tool of white supremacy” because she believes it can be used by racists to absolve themselves of wrongdoing. She argued that librarians must take an active role in educating children on racial activism.

“Children are often aware of race long before we think they are,” Lee wrote. “Starting open and honest conversations with them about race early on can prepare them to be anti-racism practitioners their whole lives.”

The state librarian also wrote a paper in 2016 that advocated for making children’s story time “racially diverse, equitable and inclusive.”

Lee is listed as one of the primary points of contact on documents sharing details about the BIPOC exclusive librarian program. She was also involved in planning the event.

Yep, Tim Walz’s administration is all in. Can you imagine the amount of damage this guy could do as vice president of the United States and “President” Kamala Harris’s right-hand man? Shudder the thought.

While Kamala Harris laughingly claims Walz will help her “unify the country” — as if she plans to do so — the October event will not be the radical governor’s first racially-segregated event.

In 2022, for example, Walz’s Department of Education held restorative justice “trainings and sessions” for teachers and other school officials. Participants were explicitly divided by race, with the agency establishing a “People of Color Affinity Community” for “people who personally identify as Black People, Indigenous People and People of Color.” The agency advised “White Allies” to “attend other circle trainings.”

Between September 2022 and June 2023, meanwhile, Walz’s Department of Veterans Affairs held a series of training sessions advertised to non-white veterans as part of its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Ending Veterans Homelessness Work Group.

A flier for the sessions said the group was created for homeless veterans who “identify as BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ and/or Woman.” A straight white male veteran could attend—but only if he were doing so as a “stakeholder or ally” to non-white, non-straight, or female veterans. Participants were paid $50 an hour and up to $2,500 total, according to the flier.

The ugly little non-secret secret is this:

Leftist elitists despise white heterosexuals — some, including themselves. In their race-riddled minds, white people must forever “atone” for past sins committed against black Americans, regardless of whether or not their ancestors had zero to with such sins.

And the race-obsessed among us, from Barack Obama to Kamala Harris to Tim Walz, only serve to further divide America along racial lines.

Tamara Lee, the Harris campaign, and Tim Walz’s office did not immediately respond to requests for comment from the Daily Caller.
