Minneapolis is really excited to announce that its police force now includes a Muslim Somali woman and a woman who is legally Mexican.

So let’s sum up. One of America’s most crime-ridden cities – one that burned in 2020 due to riots…

…isn’t celebrating that it has found the strongest, most capably, most highly trained law enforcement officers to maintain the public peace.

Instead, it is celebrating the fact that it has hired a “non-citizen” who was illegally moved her by her family at age 4:

…and a “Somali-American woman.”

It’s “building up … in culture,” the media said!

So diverse! So inclusive! Having diverse restaurant choices and role models that look exactly like you is the most important thing for community safety, right?

We live in a complex world. Should a girl who was moved illegally into the U.S. decades ago be forbidden from any type of public service in the city where she grew up?

Feel free to debate.

The more important question is this:

Should the city be celebrating this front and center, at the expense of the other recruits (and more importantly, public safety)?

The next time a 6’6″ man hopped up on fentanyl resists arrest, I look forward to these two ladies trying to restrain him!
