Multiple Iranians were reportedly indicted by a grand jury on charges that are related to former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign being hacked.

The federal charges are connected that the individuals stole internal Trump campaign communications in an Iranian operation, according to Politico, citing “three people familiar with the investigation.”

Last month, the Trump campaign confirmed that some of its internal communications were hacked.

The campaign cited that “foreign sources hostile to the United States,” were to blame, referencing a Microsoft report that claimed hackers from Iran “sent a spear phishing email in June to a high-ranking official on a presidential campaign.”

The stolen communications were sent to reporters and President Joe Biden’s 2024 re-election campaign before he dropped out.

As of now the list of charges and names of the individuals are not known.
