Some people are just slow on the uptake but it is finally dawning on progressive pundit Cenk Uygur that his fellow leftists have lied about people who they disagree with by smearing them as racists.

In the latest step of what may be a political awakening for “The Young Turks” founder, Uygur took to X to opine that the left’s “latest tactic” is to play the race card against critics, not entirely accurate because they’ve been doing it for a long time but being late to the party is better than never showing up at all.

“Latest tactic of radical left is accuse people of being racist for disagreeing with them because they’re protecting vulnerable and marginalized communities. When did they vote on you being their prime minister? Conveniently, this allows you to say disagreeing with you is immoral,” he wrote, belatedly noticing the “tactic” which is now being used against him for stepping out of line.

“Did it ever occur to you that others might have a different strategy for helping those same folks? That just having the most extreme policies doesn’t mean you’re protecting them the most? It’s amazing that it’s never occured to you that you’re putting them at greater risk,” he added in another post.

Uygur’s sudden epiphany about lying, race-baiting leftists left some of his fellow X users pointing out that he just wasn’t paying attention.

Uygur isn’t the only “Young Turk” to seemingly get red pilled. Co-host Ana Kasparian recently told Glenn Beck that she had been an “idiot” about the illegal alien crisis and was duped by the left-wing media into believing their false narrative.

“I can definitely be honest about my own flaws and my own mistakes because I bought the mainstream media narrative that there wasn’t a migrant crisis,” Kasparian told Beck. “And yeah, I did believe it. I believed because, look, I was an idiot because, I mean, Who do you trust in today’s media landscape?”

“There’s a lot of liars out there,” she continued. “When it comes to mainstream media, the fact of the matter is they do play defense more and more for the Democratic Party, and that’s an issue because there was a time when that didn’t happen, and so I still believed in their good faith reporting, even though it turns out, you know, a lot of these reports would omit really important details about what’s really going on.”

Last month Uygur said that President-elect Donald J. Trump’s dominant election win inflicted a severe blow on the mainstream media, the corrupt establishment’s propaganda machine.

“It’s not just that the establishment candidate lost, it’s that their media is mortally wounded. The source of their strength was not insipid politicians like Mitch McConnell and Joe Biden. The source of their strength was their propaganda machine – the mainstream media,” he wrote in a post to X.

“The Young Turks” founder also recently expressed optimism in the MAGA movement, not exactly a sentiment that will go over well with leftists.

“I’ve been trying to figure out why I’m more optimistic now than I was before the election, even though I was so against the guy who won. I know now. MAGA is not my mortal enemy (and neither is the extreme left). My mortal enemy is the establishment. And they have been defeated!” Uygur said in another recent post to X.
