The left’s gleeful reaction to the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has been an appalling sight to behold, and even top Democrats are making excuses for the cold-blooded execution.
Ever since the father of two was gunned down on a New York City street with the act caught on video, leftists who have already embraced violence as a political solution have been celebrating, and rather than call them out for their reprehensible conduct, lawmakers like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) who is seen by many as the future of the Democratic Party, are trying to justify it.
On Thursday, the progressive diva was asked about it and while she walked a fine line not to appear to be justifying the heinous act, she seemed to be sympathetic to what drove the alleged killer Luigi Mangione to commit murder in a video posted to X by CBS News reporter Alan He.
AOC to @BrownJaala on the murder of Brian Thompson
“This is not to say that an act of violence is justified, but I think for anyone who is confused or shocked or appalled, they need to understand that ppl interpret and feel & experience denied claims as an act of violence…” pic.twitter.com/52aIINUDlH

“This is not to comment, and this is not to say that an act of violence is justified,” she said, “but I think for anyone who is confused or shocked or appalled, they need to understand that people interpret and feel and experience denied claims as an act of violence against them,” Ocasio-Cortez explained.
“People go homeless over the financial devastation of a diagnosis that doesn’t get addressed or, you know, the amount that they’re gonna have to cover with a surprise bill and things like that; and when we kind of talk about how systems are violent in this country in this passive way, our privatized health care system is like that for a huge amount of Americans,” she said, also telling the reporter that she didn’t have healthcare insurance until she was a member of Congress.
The far-left congresswoman’s seeming to sympathize with a cold-blooded killer was slammed by X users.
Healthcare and murder are not one in the same AOC.

It’s insanely dangerous the rhetoric that is coming from prominent democrats in response to the united healthcare CEO murder.

The people who breathlessly complained about microaggressions and that being on time is “white supremacy’ are now telling us that it’s ok to experience ‘denied claims’ as an ‘act of violence.’ And of course, respond with ‘acts of violence.’

This exactly what we should expect a soulless ghoul like @AOC to say. She’ll be the perfect #Democrat party nominee in 2028.

If AOC thinks the health insurance system is broken, then she should introduce some legislation to fix it.

“The phenomenon emerging after Bryan Thompson’s shooting, where journalists and politicians encourage the perpetrator, is starting to spread. Soon, it won’t just be health insurance executives in the crosshairs, but many others deemed ‘wrongdoers.’ A dangerous precedent.”

“I did not have health insurance until I got elected to Congress,” AOC said. “When I first ran for Congress, I had to sit in a free clinic.”
Ocasio-Cortez is looking to move up the House ladder with a bid to be the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee as she preps for the inevitable 2028 White House run, and her lack of a moral compass gives her the early leg up on the party’s nomination.
