Whoa. Where’d the DEI go?
No preaching about gay stuff, no climate virtue-signaling, no intersectional racial message about how white people are evil.
Heck, there wasn’t even one disabled transgender woman of color!
If you let me be a bit bah humbug, I’d point out that a single normal ad doesn’t make up for the stuff these woke companies are doing behind closed doors, so it feels weird that people are all giddy about it.
In that way, this ad makes me feel sad, because I’m not sure there’s a way to put the “feel good” genie back in the bottle – and given the practices of such companies, I don’t know that we should.
But at least Apple seems to have learned to make advertising less weird again after they got steamrolled for that iPad commercial earlier this year! 👇
