A Denver man named George Vigil has been arrested after he allegedly killed a man in his home after a fight over hot sauce.

Yeah. That’s the official police story.

Vigil asked where’s the hot sauce, the unnamed victim said it was up in his bedroom, this started an argument, and Vigil allegedly pulled a switchblade on him and slashed him down.

I mean, that must have been some good hot sauce.

Or this dude must be certifiably nuts. Allegedly.

According to the probable cause statement, Vigil was known to carry a switchblade-type knife, and he allegedly swung his arm at the victim who then fell to the ground.

Denver police said the victim was taken to a hospital and was pronounced dead.

Vigil is now being held on investigation of second-degree murder. The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released the identity of the victim.

Also, according to an unsubstantiated Denver watchdog report, this is not the first time Vigil has been arrested for a crime involving his switchblade.

Again, this is unsubstantiated, but given that the police even said that Vigil was known to carry a switchblade, it would seem that this didn’t come as a total shock to anyone.

Crime in our cities is getting to absurd levels.
