Former President Donald Trump appears to be the favorite to win the November presidential election, according to one election model.

Trump has a 55.2% chance of winning the election, the J.L. Partners/DailyMail.com election model projects. It assigns Vice President Kamala Harris a 44.6% chance of winning.

Harris, however, holds a commanding lead in terms of chance to win the popular vote, which stands at 65%.

But analysts at J.L. Partners, who compiled the latest polling data to build the model, seem to think that Harris’s fortunes are on the down swing.

“September seems to have been Harris’ high point and trends suggest that this high has come to an end,” said data scientist Callum Hunter.

The model may be something of an outlier, however. RealClearPolitics’ betting average currently assigns Harris a 50.8% chance to Trump’s 47.6%.
