Joe Biden delivered a primetime address tonight asking for gun control as the chorus from Democrats on that front grows louder.

Breaking911 shared one clip from the speech in a tweet where Biden declared, “Enough. We should limit how many rounds a weapon can hold.”

“Why in God’s name should an ordinary citizen be able to purchase an assault weapon that holds 30-round magazines, that let mass shooters fire hundreds of bullets in a matter of minutes?” Biden asked.

Greene pushed back in a tweet where she said, “Joe Biden wants to ban ‘assault weapons’ and ‘high capacity magazines’ yet Democrats refuse to prosecute violent crimes in Democrat cities all over the country, and refuse to protect your children at school with armed security.”

“Same Democrats are protected by armed guards daily,” Greene pointed out.

As we reported in August 2021, U.S. House Rep Cori Bush (D-MO) defended having private security due to “attempts” on her life, but still wanting to defund the police.

In a clip tweeted by NRCC communications director Mike Berg, Bush tells CBS viewers, “I’m going to make sure I have security because, I know, I have had attempts on my life and I have too much work to do.”

“There are too many people that need help right now for me to allow that, so if I end up spending $200,000, if I spend 10 more dollars on it, you know what, I get to be here to do the work,” Bush continued.

Bush then demanded of her critics, “So suck it up and defunding the police has to happen. We need to defund the police and put that money into social safety nets.”

In a tweet today, Bush suggested that “Weapons of war have no place in our schools. They have no place in our supermarkets, our places of worship, our movie theaters, or public parks either. @HouseJudiciary isn’t waiting another minute to act.”
