As we reported earlier, 57 Republicans in the House of Representatives voted against a Ukraine Aid bill last night.
U.S. House Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) was one who voted against it while U.S. House Rep Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) voted for it.
In a tweet earlier today, Crenshaw got ratioed as he said, “Our open border -and the fentanyl pouring across it – is killing Americans in record numbers.”
“Biden doesn’t care. They only care what the radical immigration groups think, not you,” Crenshaw claimed as he shared a Wall Street Journal article reporting on the fact that drug-overdose deaths reached a record high in 2021.
Twitter user “Chigg Bungus” responded to Crenshaw, “Yeah you sound off about that stuff but then you vote yes on the $40 billion to Ukraine.”
“Chigg Bungus” ratioed Crenshaw bad with his response which caused the two-term Congressman to defend himself in a reply.
Crenshaw shot back, “Yeah, because investing in the destruction of our adversary’s military, without losing a single American troop, strikes me as a good idea. You should feel the same.”
Greene then stepped in and asked in a quote tweet, “So you think we are funding a proxy war with Russia?”
“You speak as if Ukrainian lives should be thrown away, as if they have no value. Just used and thrown away,” Greene lectured.
Greene then wondered if it was “For your proxy war? How does that help Americans? How does any of this help?”
Rather than answer Greene’s questions or ignore her, Crenshaw chose to mock her as he inquired, “Still going after that slot on Russia Today huh?”
Unfazed, Greene told Crenshaw, “Sanctions aren’t stopping anything, but they are driving inflation and fuel prices. I refuse to vote for useless measures that cause problems but solve none. While you send $40 billion for your proxy war against Russia, I’m focused on baby formula for American babies.”
